Quality Control - FMC LAB

Quality Control

Some pictures representative of our washing systems and of inprocess controls

All production and packaging phases are subject to rigid controls by highly qualified staff according to HACCP and GMP FOOD standards. Quality and safety are assured by:
  • Validation of production lines and environments sanitization
  • Documentary checks on all incoming raw materials
  • Mixing and granulation steps recording
  • Continuous quality controls along all the production process: tablets and capsules average weight, tablets hardness, friability and disintegration time, sachets and blisters grip, continuous controls on cases batch number and expiry date matches.
  • Microbiological analysis
  • Analysis of allergens, heavy metals, pathogens, solvents etc. The product quality is also granted by Clean Room with controlled pressure, temperature and humidity and by the presence of interlocked pass-through box necessary to avoid direct contact between the production rooms and the warehouse. FMC is equipped with internal laboratories in order to carries out microbiological analysis on all the batches and uses external accredited laboratories for allergens and contaminants analysis; it also has a Research and Development department with two climatic chambers for accelerated stability studies on the pilot tests.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the attention that FMC pays to the components cleaning in contact with the products, in fact around 200 square meters of the Clean Room were destined to a completely automatic washing, sanitizing and drying machine ( ATLANTIS IMA) able to wash large machine components and bins, in order to avoid cross contamination and at the same time too long production stops.
